I snapped this picture on a cross-country hitchhiking trip in 1973. Turns out, I was capturing the completion of the first of the Cabazon Dinosaurs built at the Cabazon exit off I-10 outside Palm Springs. Dinny (pictured below) is now paired with a T-Rex and is being used by its current owner, Orange County developer Gary Kanter, to promote Creationism–he believes dinosaurs roamed the Garden of Eden with Adam & Eve.
