Virtual Gaza

Palestinians, scholars and “media activists” have joined forces to create a website where Gaza residents can share information–personal accounts, photos, video, etc.–in an attempt to control how their story is told to the rest of the world.

It’s a collaboration between the MIT Center for Future Civic Media and the Alliance for Justice in the Middle East at Harvard University.

It’s also an example of a kind of Thoughtful Structure Dan Conover has been talking about, and an indication of how the web is changing the definition of a news story.
