Conn. Newspaper Opens Newsroom Cafe

Torrington, Conn.’s, newspaper, The Register Citizen, takes “digital first” to heart. After 110 years in the same office, the paper is moving to new digs that are part community media lab, journalism school, cafe and library. Publisher Matt DeRienzo said the paper is “issuing a permanent invitation for the community to be engaged and involved in how we report local news and information, at every step in the process.”
